June 2011: New Jewellery Collection

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine.
I'm happy to announce that the website's just been updated with new pieces - some of you might have seen them in the shops or at my recent Open Studios and I'm really pleased that they're now available online. There are some lovely delicate necklaces, dark and sophisticated sapphire pieces, and sweet pretty pearls, perfect for summer weddings.
I've also put some more of my ever-popular pompom necklaces and earrings online. These make great gifts - they suit so many different styles and the necklace are brilliant layering pieces, great for adding a bit of colour to your outfit.
All the new things are here and will be added to the other sections of the site as time allows.
I thought I'd also add a note about 'vermeil', as it's not a particularly well-known term, and I use it in a lot of my new pieces. Vermeil is sterling silver with a thick layer of high-carat (almost 24ct) gold-plating. This is not your average cheap gold-plating. It's hard-wearing and a good option if you like the look of high-carat gold but lack the funds. If you don't lack the funds, of course, I'm happy to quote for solid gold, and everything can be made in sterling silver too, oxidised or not.
